Research Economist

To play a pivotal role in driving strategic research and data-driven insights for the Manufacturing department, you will be responsible for spearheading surveys, collecting and analyzing data using advanced analytical models and statistical techniques. Your key deliverables will include presenting comprehensive research results through reports, tables, and charts, interpreting and forecasting market trends, and advising businesses, governments, and individuals on economic matters. You will also be tasked with recommending innovative solutions to complex economic challenges and crafting compelling articles for academic journals and other media platforms.

Key Performance Indicators:

1. Develop and implement a robust research agenda, ensuring timely delivery of at least one detailed report within a year.
2. Engage with ministries, universities, think tanks, and other agencies to collaborate on research assignments, aiming for at least one co-authored report/publication with Government/Academia.
3. Identify areas of focus for research initiatives and work closely with various stakeholders to pinpoint topics worthy of investigation.
4. Prepare insightful discussion points/talking points for meetings and forums, providing relevant content to enhance effective communication.
5. Present findings in a clear and concise manner during committee/council/government meetings.
6. Interpret concerns raised by stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations to address these issues.

Requirements:

A postgraduate degree in Economics from a reputable university (India/Abroad)
