As a researcher, you will play a pivotal role in the development of organic compounds for various applications. Your key responsibilities will include designing and synthesizing novel compounds, conducting laboratory experiments, and analyzing data to drive innovation and advance research goals.

Key Functions

  • Design and execute synthetic routes to target compounds using advanced chemical techniques.
  • Purify and characterize organic molecules using analytical instruments such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy.
  • Interpret experimental data to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes, ensuring efficiency and efficacy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations, adhering to best practices in laboratory safety.
  • Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, organic chemistry, or related field(s), or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Nice to have: Master's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, organic chemistry, or related field(s).
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in scientific research.
