Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and eager-to-learn Junior Desktop Engineer to join our IT support team. This foundational role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on experience in desktop management and workplace technology.

This role involves providing technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and supporting essential IT services such as printing and network access.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to operating systems, software applications, and hardware, as well as assisting with setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments.

In addition, the candidate will support printing services, handle basic network connectivity issues, maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions, and collaborate with senior engineers and IT staff to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, and hardware
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments
  • Support printing services, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of printers
  • Handle basic network connectivity issues (e.g., Wi-Fi, LAN access, VPN setup)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and IT staff to escalate and resolve complex issues

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • A basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
  • Familiarity with common office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment
