Job Profile Overview

The primary goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Indian vertical transportation market, promoting our local profile, generating sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Familiarize with the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation VT landscape in India
  • Provide market input for updating and fine-tuning of the VT strategy for India
Business Development and Sales
  • Develop a business development strategy to implement growth strategy provided by BU and meet agreed sales targets
  • Promote our company as a leading VT authority in India
  • Create and identify sales leads through networking, proactive industry observation, research, and effective sales channels
  • Effective customer relationship management, understand customers' structure, needs, and constraints
  • Scale the business through continuous extension of customer base and customer retention
  • Prepare sales presentations and sales materials in cooperation with BU and marketing department
  • Coordinate with global VT experts for joint customer presentations and visits
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other TÜV SÜD subsidiaries (e.g., Hungary, Middle East)
  • Monitor upcoming events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences and prepare and coordinate our participation in coordination with BU and senior management
Operations and Resources
  • Ensure smooth and efficient operations in accordance with our Quality Management System and to the full satisfaction of customers
  • P&L responsibility for our VT activities in India
  • Prepare regular progress reports
  • Resources planning and management
  • Recruitment, development, and leading of further VT experts
  • Ensure that the VT experts receive the necessary training for their individual roles and authorization levels and in accordance with their personal development plan
  • Authorization management (internal) in accordance with our Quality Management System
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Drive for shaping business development and sales activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in relevant local languages and English (min. B2 level)

  • Mobility, flexibility, and willingness for business trips in the region

Desired Skills
  • Basic knowledge of lift technology and industry
  • Familiarity with inspections and certifications of VT; further training, as required, will be provided upon joining
Required Education
  • Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical)
  • Master degree would be beneficial, in particular a business-oriented one
