Nolwa Studio is a design studio and gallery based in India. We create collectible objects of art and design by combining traditional crafts with contemporary perspectives.

Job Overview:

Our organization seeks a dynamic, relationship-driven Sales & Brand Strategy Lead to champion our presence across national and international platforms.

You will represent us along with the founder and be responsible for growing our reach, building intentional relationships, and ensuring our brand is represented with clarity, coherence, consistency, and charisma across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Partnerships:
    • Identify and engage potential clients, institutions, and buyers through personalized outreach and curated engagement strategies.
    • Curate a list of high-alignment industry professionals; lead 1:1 conversations and design immersive experiences or events for engagement.
    • Research and identify galleries aligned with our ethos; lead outreach and placement efforts.
    • Explore acquisition opportunities and initiate conversations with relevant departments and curators.
    • Examine distribution platforms, online marketplaces, and luxury retail partnerships.
    • Assess collaboration requests; manage negotiations, contracts, and communications.
    • Manage sales inquiries, nurturing relationships with potential clients, collectors, curators, and collaborators.
    • Represent us across online and offline platforms, including exhibitions, talks, and design gatherings.
  • Brand Strategy & Custodianship:
    • Translate our brand strategy to all external consultants - including web, design, PR, etc.
    • Collaborate on visibility strategy with the founder and creative team to decide on fairs, awards, and exhibitions that align with our brand narrative and growth vision.
    • Position us in unexpected, prestigious, and meaningful contexts – forging our path in luxury without clichés.
    • Create compelling narratives across digital channels – with a focus on product storytelling, process, and brand philosophy.
    • Ensure messaging consistency and elevate our presence in the design and art worlds.

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or brand strategy — ideally in design, art, fashion, or luxury.
  • Background in design or art galleries would be an advantage.
  • Deep appreciation for collectible design, craftsmanship, and the intersection of culture and commerce.
  • Strong global awareness of galleries, fairs, and institutions; existing networks in the design/art world are a plus.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with high-value clients, collaborators, and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for storytelling, strategy, and detail.
  • Confident communicator and brand representative – both online and in person.
  • Independent, proactive, and excited to grow alongside a small, passionate team.
