Signal Processing Leader

Centum Electronics seeks an experienced professional to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced signal processing algorithms for radar systems.

  • The ideal candidate will work in a team environment to design, develop, integrate, and test Radar Systems for Defense, Aerospace, and Communication areas.
  • They will collaborate with engineers and designers to enhance the performance and capabilities of radar systems.
  • Responsibilities include designing and developing algorithms, performing analysis of complex systems involving signal processing, and optimizing existing algorithms for performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in communication type architectures, waveforms, and simulation tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK is required.
  • Candidates should be able to develop and simulate digital signal processing blocks for Receivers and Transmitters.
  • The role also involves analyzing radar data to validate algorithm performance, modeling and predicting radar system behavior using simulation tools, and integrating signal processing algorithms into radar systems.
  • Candidates must have excellent collaboration skills, working closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Key responsibilities include conducting tests and evaluations of radar systems to assess performance, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to signal processing, and preparing technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
  • The successful candidate will present findings and updates to stakeholders, explore and propose new techniques to improve radar capabilities, and prepare presentations.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in signal processing, preferably in radar systems
  • Strong understanding of communication type architectures, waveforms, and simulation tools
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK and other relevant programming languages
  • Excellent collaboration and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
