We are seeking a skilled Senior CAD Designer to join our team and work on prestigious international railway projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality interior components using SolidWorks.

About the Role
  • Develop thermoformed panels for trains using SolidWorks.
  • Translate customer rough concepts and specifications into production-ready 3D and 2D designs.
  • Adapt panel designs to changing project requirements while ensuring minimal tool modifications.
  • Engineer the rear side construction of panels, including reinforcements, ventilation solutions, and mounting details.
  • Work in direct exchange with clients to align technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in CAD design for thermoformed plastic components.
  • SolidWorks expert level (surface modeling, assemblies, tool-related adjustments).
  • Strong background in railway, automotive, or transportation interiors.
  • Knowledge of plastics material properties, tooling, and production processes.
  • Ability to translate conceptual sketches into manufacturable designs.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction and engineering discussions.
  • Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style.
  • German language skills are a strong plus.
