Job Title: Interior Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Interior Design Engineer to lead our Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering sub system meetings to ensure cross-functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
  • Progress design maturity from initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways.
  • Maintain the teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program requirements.
  • Ensure Regulatory compliance of system, sub-system and components.
  • Define engineering targets to meet function, quality & attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program.
  • Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including both in-house and supplier testing plans.
  • Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews and DFA/D FM reviews.
  • Manage Suppliers to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle program timing and attribute targets.
Requirements:
  • BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering
  • Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, cost, quality & attribute targets.
  • Extensive experience in right-first-time development and integration of Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims.
  • Detailed Engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability of communicating with cross-functional teams and influencing at all levels.
