Job Title: Senior CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled Senior CAD Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for sheet metal components.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CAD design principles, as well as experience working with SolidWorks. You will be expected to interpret project briefs and customer drawings to develop manufacturable designs that meet our high standards for quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Modeling: Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks for base frames, acoustic canopies, electrical cabinets, and portable light towers.
  • SolidWorks Expertise: Utilize advanced features and modules within SolidWorks to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and design intent alignment.
  • Sheet Metal Expertise: Apply a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including material types and gauges, bend allowances, and K-factors.
  • Dimensions and Tolerances: Define detailed dimensions, GD&T, and fit tolerances, as well as industry-standard welding symbols for MIG, TIG, fillet, groove, and corner welds.
