Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrap Metal Trader to join our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and sourcing scrap metal from suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing with buyers, and developing relationships with existing clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing: Identify and source scrap metal from industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with buyers to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with trading software and platforms.
