The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive management of the customer base, obtaining customer RFQs, positioning Howden as a preferred supplier, and driving profitable growth of bookings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth and profitability for Compressors After Market Segment within the region.
  • Proactively manage the customer base to obtain customer RFQs and position Howden as a preferred supplier.
  • Promote and market Howden products and solutions to existing and new customers and markets.
  • Collect, rank, analyze, and evaluate information about existing and new markets, customers, competitive relationships, and products.
  • Communicate market expectations from end-users and competitors, and define the strategy to increase penetration.
  • Initiate and implement improvement initiatives in line with the strategic direction.
  • Develop, improve, and monitor the funnel and order conversion.
  • Ensure regular visits to customers and review new enquiry generation.
  • Enquiry generation, funnel management, contract negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Follow Howden guidelines on contractual conditions and payment terms for all spares, field service, repair, revamp, and retrofits requirements of product business units.
  • Ensure on-time response to customer RFQs, TQC, and others.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in Engineering or Business, with 7+ years of experience in a similar role, coupled with broad experience in aftermarket business within engineered rotating products. Relevant commercial business experience with engineered products and services, as well as managing sales in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries, is also essential. The candidate should be a self-starter with strong capabilities to deliver results and work with cross-functional teams, have a strategic focus with the ability to analyze, formulate, and implement strategies, and possess good team player and interpersonal skills.

The candidate should also have the ability to accurately capture, analyze, and communicate information, have good communication skills at all levels, written and verbal, and be able to multi-task and prioritize work. Advanced competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point, is also required.
