Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position that requires the successful candidate to provide top-notch support for desktop operating systems, hardware, and software across various devices.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting common issues related to hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operating System Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems on diverse devices.
  • Hardware Support: Assemble, upgrade, and repair computer hardware, including laptops and desktops.
  • Software Support: Install, configure, backup, and troubleshoot standard applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Network Support: Set up and troubleshoot network printers, VPN, and firewall configurations.
  • Security: Implement BitLocker encryption, antivirus updates, and virus protection management.
  • Active Directory Management: Create user accounts, reset passwords, update group policies, and manage access controls.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance for software and system-related issues.
  • Asset Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware issues and maintain inventory records for hardware and software assets.



Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move equipment as needed.
