Job Role

We are looking for a seasoned Reliability Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all building and facilities maintenance meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, cost, and other requirements. They will ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including hazardous waste management, pressure vessel safety, calibration, pollution control, electricity board requirements, weights and measurement, licenses, and permits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining upkeep and availability of common area lighting, fire protection, STP, and other services.
  • Participating in site launch discussions and incorporating previous learnings into design.
  • Developing annual operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and achieving spending targets set by leadership.
  • Preparing root cause analyses for incidents and breakdowns, eliminating root causes.
  • Creating contingency plans for critical equipment and ensuring their effectiveness.
  • Implementing preventive maintenance routines on equipment.
  • Managing contractors and vendors to follow rules and minimize inconvenience to site operations.
  • Defining goals, priorities, organizing staff planning, and training staff to ensure service levels.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment, applying Amazon Safety Policy, and working with the Safety team to improve site safety.
  • Maintaining 5S standards by managing a diverse team and ensuring adherence to all standards.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate should also:

  • Maintain, upgrade, and store relevant documents for the RME function.
  • Support the Engineering projects team for the installation of new equipment.
  • Ensure that installation, operation, and performance standards of any equipment asset align with Amazon standards.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in Reliability Program Management or equivalent role.
  • Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of Amazon experience.
  • Flexible schedule shift work, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Experience with computers, including MS Excel, Word, and Office.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem-solving, and client/customer relations experience; preventive maintenance procedures; industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics; robotics.
