Job Title: Reliability Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated reliability engineer to join our technology infrastructure team.

This is a critical operational role that requires a combination of software and systems engineering skills to develop and maintain distributed, real-time systems that serve key stakeholders in the firm's global business.

As a reliability engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the operations of existing systems and infrastructure through automation and tooling, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

You will also build out foundational technical components of a robust reliability program across multiple complex systems, both new and existing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a highly critical operational role, applying a combination of software and systems engineering skills to develop and maintain distributed, real-time systems that serve key stakeholders in the firm's global business.
  • Optimize the operations of existing systems and infrastructure through automation and tooling, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Build out foundational technical components of a robust reliability program across multiple complex systems, both new and existing.
  • Collaborate with development and quant teams to ensure changes align with measurable service level objectives (SLOs) across user interactions.
  • Monitor system capacity and performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and sources of instability before they affect stakeholders.
  • Review and provide feedback on automation code developed by peers, maintaining high standards of code quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated work experience as a reliability engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell; ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and configuration management (Ansible).
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
