Job Title: Tech Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Tech Support Specialist to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues and providing top-notch support to end-users.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and requests, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical problems.

This role involves:

  • Providing initial technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
  • Logging, categorizing, and prioritizing all incoming IT support tickets in our ticketing system
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, applications, and network connectivity issues
  • Assisting users with password resets, account unlocks, and basic application support
  • Escalating complex or unresolved issues to higher-level engineers with detailed notes and logs
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT procedures and solutions
  • Educating users on common IT issues and best practices
  • Participating in on-call rotation as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT service desk role
  • Strong understanding of computer systems and common business applications
  • Basic knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on providing positive user experiences
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
