Key Proposal Specialist Role

The role of Key Proposal Specialist involves developing well-structured, compliant and compelling proposals for US federal opportunities. This position requires familiarity with the federal procurement process and the ability to collaborate effectively with capture teams, subject matter experts and leadership to produce winning proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret federal RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and task orders to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements.
  • Write and edit proposal content that is clear, concise and persuasive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including capture managers, business development and technical experts to gather inputs and information.
  • Develop and maintain compliance matrices to ensure all submissions meet federal regulations and requirements.
  • Manage the proposal development lifecycle, including reviews, deadlines and final submission.
  • Maintain a library of past performance, resumes and reusable proposal content.
  • Proofread, format and standardize documents for consistency and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience writing proposals for US federal government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process and regulatory requirements (FAR/DFAR).
  • Exceptional writing, editing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • US citizenship or valid work authorization required.
