Key Account Merchandising Specialist

Job Overview
This role is an excellent opportunity to take on a challenging position in the retail industry with Reliance Retail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales strategies, supplier relationships, and product assortment across various channels.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in retail management and sales operations. The ideal candidate should have a postgraduate degree in retail management or a related field and possess superior knowledge of Indian retailing and global trends.
Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for:
• Sales Strategy: Developing and implementing seasonal/annual operating plans based on historical sales data, LFL/New Store Growth, Planned Inventory Cover, Markdown/Liquidation Strategy. Collaborating with stakeholders to align sales strategies with business objectives.
• Supplier Strategy: Conducting research on competitor offerings and new launches, sourcing and negotiating with new vendors, and onboarding them as per planned contribution to sales strategy.
• Price and Margin Strategy: Reviewing and creating margin strategies as per new targets, preparing/reviewing pricing of existing products, and planning price ranges for new products.
• Assortment/Option Strategy: Developing options/assortments as per OTB of each category mix, ensuring optimum width and depth of import merchandise, and creating/maintaining an active product launch calendar.
• Additional Responsibilities: Managing business KPIs such as GMROI, GMROF, Vendor Fill Rate, Inventory Management, Sell Thru Management, etc., preparing/reviewing various business reports, analyzing data, and scheduling product training.

• Ability to build and nurture multiple internal and external (vendor-partner) relationships
• Good planning and execution skills
Education Requirements
A postgraduate degree in retail management or a related field from a reputable institution is required.
Salary Range
$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
