Learning and Development Manager
\This role is responsible for leading the organization's strategic and operational Learning & Development function across multiple manufacturing locations in India.
\Key Responsibilities
\- \
- Develops and implements a pan-India L&D strategy aligned with business transformation and growth.\
- Establishes and operationalizes Management Development Centres and Assessment Centres for leadership pipeline development.\
- Drives organizational capability building across technical, behavioural, and leadership domains.\
- Develops and executes succession planning frameworks and high-potential talent programs.\
- Creates customized learning journeys for different employee segments (shop floor to senior leadership).\
- Leads executive coaching, mentoring, and career pathing initiatives.\
- Integrates digital learning platforms (LMS, LXPs, mobile learning) across locations.\
- Promotes blended learning models including e-learning, workshops, simulations, and on-the-job training.\
- Leverages AI and analytics for learning impact measurement and personalization.\
- Collaborates with plant heads, functional leaders, and HRBPs to identify learning needs and deploy solutions.\
- Acts as a change agent for cultural transformation and continuous learning.\
- Manages external partnerships with universities, consultants, and tech providers.\
- Defines and manages the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery and measurable ROI.\
- Establishes KPIs for learning effectiveness and reports outcomes to senior leadership.\
- Ensures compliance with statutory and industry-specific training mandates.\
Qualifications
\- \
- Master's in Social Work or MBA/PGDM in HR or Organizational Development from a Tier 1/2 institute.\
- Proven experience in setting up MDCs/Assessment Centers and leading capability building programs.\
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.\
- Analytical mindset with ability to measure and communicate learning impact.\
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.\
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.\
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning tools.\
- Leadership experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector.\
- 10–18 years of experience in L&D.\
- Experience with digital learning platforms, AI, and analytics.\
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design.\
- Understanding of the Indian education system and regulatory requirements.\
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.\
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
- Results-oriented with a focus on delivering business value.\
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.\
- Ambitious and driven to achieve results.\
- Customer-focused and able to prioritize competing demands.\
