Customer Onboarding Manager Job Description

As a key first impression for our clients, you will oversee the onboarding process, managing requests and reviewing their renewal pipeline. This involves working closely with our clients to drive success and serve as our product champion, expanding features with our product team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine the customer onboarding process, including training, implementation, and solution creation on our platform.
  • Manage internal and external relationships to ensure seamless account management.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate process improvement and overall account health.
  • Be a subject matter expert for our platform, partnering with clients to understand operational challenges and identifying opportunities for expansion.
  • Provide timely product support and resolve client inquiries.
  • Collaborate with product management to surface client requests and translate feedback into product requirements.
  • Contribute to operationalizing the implementation function as the team scales.
About You:
  • 4-6 years of experience in customer-facing roles such as Technical Onboarding Manager, Customer Onboarding Manager, Solutions Architect, or Implementation Consultant.
  • Project management experience in implementing customer solutions for enterprise clients or consulting at Director, VP, and Exec levels of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Advanced understanding of SaaS and Cloud-based software environments.
  • A builder mindset with experience in startup environments, taking projects from concept to delivery.
  • Knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and database structures.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and create customized solutions.
  • Experience in running projects with variable roadmaps and checklists.
  • Ability to define customer workflow and automation requirements through effective questioning.
  • Comfortable creating process diagrams and workflows to increase value for clients.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
