Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Land Acquisition Specialist to spearhead land acquisition efforts for renewable energy projects across Maharashtra.

  • Land Identification and Procurement: Identify suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  • End-to-End Process Management: Lead the end-to-end land acquisition process including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  • Relationship Building and Management: Build and manage relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  • Title Due Diligence and Compliance: Conduct thorough title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with in-house legal teams.
  • Rights of Way (RoW) Acquisition and Mutation: Oversee RoW acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to secure cost-effective deals.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision: Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Conflict Resolution and Risk Mitigation: Address conflict resolution and mitigate any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
