Production Planning and Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to develop and maintain production schedules, forecast raw material and labor needs, and monitor capacity planning to optimize throughput.

About the Role:
  • This specialist will be responsible for creating and updating production plans to meet sales and operational requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will analyze sales trends and inventory levels to forecast raw material, packaging, and labor needs.
  • They will also monitor capacity planning to avoid bottlenecks and optimize production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet sales and operational demands.
  2. Forecast raw material, packaging, and labor requirements based on sales trends and inventory levels.
  3. Monitor capacity planning to prevent bottlenecks and optimize production efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials.
  5. Track material lead times and ensure just-in-time availability for production.
  6. Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products.
  7. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
  8. Implement strategies for inventory optimization and monitor storage conditions.
  9. Track production progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
  10. Identify deviations or delays and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, material and inventory management, and ERP-based reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MIS reporting tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and inventory control techniques.
