Role Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Lead to spearhead our QA team's automation efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive automation strategy across multiple platforms.

  • Lead the development of an automation framework that ensures scalability and maintainability.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers through code reviews, training sessions, and leadership in quality culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with release goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive test coverage strategy.
  • Drive API and backend testing initiatives, including contract testing and service mocking.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments.
  • Monitor test execution and reporting through dashboards and analytics.
  • Define and maintain test data management strategies.
  • Champion QA process improvements, including tooling upgrades and automation ROI analysis.
  • Drive non-functional testing initiatives, including performance, scalability, and accessibility testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Programming: Expertise in Python, strong background in building and scaling automation frameworks.
  • Web Automation: Advanced proficiency in Playwright (Python), including framework enhancements and parallel execution.
  • Mobile Automation: Hands-on experience with Appium (iOS & Android).
  • API Testing: Strong experience with Postman, Python-based test suites, and contract testing.
  • Performance & Load Testing: Experience with Locust or k6.
  • CI/CD Integration: Mastery in setting up pipelines with automated test execution and reporting.
  • Cloud & Containers: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Accessibility Testing: Tools like Axe and Lighthouse.
  • Monitoring & Analytics: Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Agile & DevOps: Strong grasp of test pyramid, BDD/TDD, and sprint QA ownership.
  • Version Control: Expertise with Git workflows and repository management.
  • Reporting Tools: Hands-on experience with Allure or custom dashboards.
