Sales Manager Job Description

The Sales Manager is a key role within Sperton Global AS, responsible for leading the sales team in developing and implementing sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and ensuring sales targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Team Leadership:
    • Plan and coordinate the operations of the sales team within the branch.
    • Provide necessary support and motivation to the sales team to achieve assigned targets.
  • Market Analysis and Client Development:
    • Conduct market surveys to identify potential client bases for generating new business opportunities.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, contractors, and key decision-makers.
    • Regularly interact with existing clients to foster strong business relations, retain clients, and assess future requirements.
  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Devise pricing strategies based on market trends and customer needs.
    • Provide customized solutions tailored to client requirements and project specifications.
  • Training and Development:
    • Train, coach, and motivate the sales team on sales techniques and current market trends to enhance sales revenue.
  • Lead Generation and Field Visits:
    • Generate leads through surveys, site visits, and client interactions directly or through the team.
    • Ensure team members complete 68 client/field visits per day, aiming to generate at least 3 inquiries daily.
  • Quotation Management:
    • Prepare and submit quotations ensuring maximum profit margins and alignment with customer expectations.
    • Complete and submit the ESD format to respective coordinators for quotation preparation.
  • Performance Review:
    • Conduct regular meetings to review team performance, analyze sales reports, and provide feedback.
    • Take necessary actions against non-performers based on performance reviews.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Collate, summarize, and analyze sales data to prepare meaningful business reports (MIS) for management review.
    • Maintain and update the client database regularly for accurate tracking of client interactions.
  • Order Management:
    • Follow up continuously with clients until orders are closed.
    • Collect technical specifications post-order to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Collaboration:
    • Conduct joint field visits with team members based on assigned routes to provide mentorship and support.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform any other tasks assigned by management as needed.
