Technical Support Engineer Role Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with Client Success to provide Tier-2 client support for software technical issues, collaborating with the Engineering department to debug and resolve these issues.

  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external users, including customer service teams, clients, and partners.
  • Communicate and coordinate feedback and inputs to the development team, based in India.
  • Assist the QA lead with QA activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with minimal support from the development team.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to quickly identify the root of their problems.
  • Propose workarounds to customers when fixes will take time to be released.
  • Deliver timely and accurate customer feedback.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Support the roll-out of new applications.
  • Develop procedural documentation to support customers.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Evaluate and test new releases.
  • Offer innovative solutions to improve operational processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology.
  • Ability to work during US hours (9 am to 6 pm central time).
  • Experience with tech support for web-based business applications and mobile interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Java, JavaScript, MySQL, AWS, and browser-based debugging.
  • Proficiency in JSON format, REST APIs, database queries, and logs.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Familiarity with ticket management tools like Clickup, Jira, Trello, and texting applications.
  • Certifications in Linux, Java, Web development, and AWS are desirable but not required.
  • Experience with AI tools is a plus.
  • Development mindset to scale into a developer with minimal training.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
