Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough analyses and verifications of loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy of required documents.
- Evaluate borrower credit history, employment status, income levels, and debt profiles.
- Review appraisal reports to confirm property values.
- Assess credit reports to determine borrower creditworthiness.
- Analyse financial statements, tax returns, pay stubs, and other income documentation to identify potential risks and assess overall loan risk levels.
- Calculate debt-to-income (DTI) ratios and loan-to-value (LTV) ratios to ensure loans comply with regulations and company policies.
- Verify conformity of appraisals and alternative value products to client-specified requirements.
- Ensure all federal, state, and local regulations are met.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
- Proven experience in mortgage processing or underwriting.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
