Business Development Professional Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Head to lead our efforts in the petrochemicals vertical. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities in the petrochemicals vertical.
  • Leveraging their existing network and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to execute deals smoothly and ensure alignment with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Business Development function for the petrochemicals vertical, with a focus on oil rigs and exploration assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.
  • Drive M&A strategy end-to-end – target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • A proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • A deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.
  • A strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
