Job Title: Intellectual Property Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of products by providing timely input to stakeholders, ensuring a smooth product launch.
  • Provide insights into patent litigation and opposition to align with product strategy in a cost-effective manner.
  • Perform due diligence on products to inform stakeholders about key patent rights, identifying potential for acquisition or early launch.
  • Identify new product opportunities for driving portfolio selection and evaluate innovative ideas to identify opportunities for patent protection/development for differentiated products.
  • Conduct patent searches to determine patentable inventions and file and prosecute patent applications to augment and bolster the patent estate.
  • Lead due diligence activities for products of interest, informing stakeholders about the value proposition in acquiring/licensing/products from an IP standpoint for M&A deals.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm)/Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.

Relevant Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) with 8 years of relevant experience/Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) with 6 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.

Additional Skills:

  • Should have relevant techno-legal experience in regulated markets.
  • Should have in-depth knowledge of Patent laws of India, US, and Europe.
  • Should have an eye for detail and acumen for Paragraph IV filings in USA.
