Firewall Support Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Firewall Support professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and technical support to our clients.

As a Firewall Support specialist, you will be the first point of contact for customers experiencing issues with their firewalls. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving these issues in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP and networking fundamentals. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries regarding firewall issues, using established procedures and technical documentation.
  2. Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or chat, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective solutions to complex technical issues.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in firewall technology and network security.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of network protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, ICMP, and VLANs.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing circumstances.
