Dam Safety Professional

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Dam Safety Professional to join our team. This role will involve working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the safety of dams across the country.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation, SCADA, and surveillance systems, as well as experience in data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis.
  • This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing instrumentation action plans, providing technical support for centralized control and command centers, and ensuring proper operation and maintenance of established instrumentation at DRIP dams.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing technical hardware, software, and data transmission for all instrumentation plans, preparing technical bid documents, and defining qualifying criteria for instrumentation and monitoring systems.
  • Additionally, this role involves conducting third-party CS&QA inspections, managing transmittals, and facilitating capacity building of DRIP IAs through customized training programs.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dam safety guidelines and protocols, as well as experience in contributing to the revision of existing guidelines and the formulation of new guidelines related to instrumentation and monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. civil engineering, water resources engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in dam safety, instrumentation, or a related field
  • Strong background in instrumentation, SCADA, and surveillance systems
  • Experience in data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
