Leading Mechanical Engineer for Ground-Breaking Semiconductor-Equipment Project

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the development of our Scanning Electron Microscope, an innovative instrument that will enable precise nanoscale imaging and measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the mechanical architecture of the instrument, ensuring compactness, precision, and serviceability.
  • Develop the assembly and test playbook, including fixtures, torque specs, and metrology checks.
  • Qualify and scale India-based and global suppliers, focusing on yield and finish quality.
  • Lead system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering precision electromechanical systems in scientific instruments or automation.
  • Comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing, as well as design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on problem-solver with an eye for ergonomics and field-service.
