Job Description:

As a seasoned professional in process safety engineering, you will lead and facilitate critical safety studies to ensure compliance with industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), risk assessment, and HSE regulations. You will be responsible for reviewing safety documents, preparing and reviewing safety philosophies, fire risk assessments, and other relevant studies.

Additionally, you will conduct site HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning to ensure adherence to international HSE standards.

With a strong background in chemical, process, environmental, or safety engineering, you will support design reviews, management of change (MoC), and alarm rationalization to ensure safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA studies to ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
  • Prepare and review safety documents including Safety Philosophies, Fire Risk Assessments, DSRs, Hazardous Area Classification, QRA, FERA, ESSA, and other safety studies.
  • Review P&IDs, layouts, and equipment specs from a safety design perspective to identify potential hazards.
  • Support design reviews, management of change (MoC), and alarm rationalization to ensure safe operations.
  • Conduct site HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning to ensure adherence to international HSE standards.
  • Lead or support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to drive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process / Environmental / Safety Engineering.
  • 8+ years in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPC/design/project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and HSE regulations.
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, DNV software.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/PSM, TÜV Functional Safety, or equivalent preferred.
