About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to drive our cybersecurity platform's technical strategy, architecture and delivery.

This is a hands-on leadership position: you'll be building and scaling a high-performing team, owning end-to-end engineering execution and laying the foundation for our product and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent
  • Drive the design, development and delivery of secure scalable software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing CI/CD observability and architecture
  • Collaborate with founders product and design to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make technical decisions on architecture tools and platform design
  • Set and track engineering KPIs for velocity quality and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring in the right innovations at the right time

Key Success Metrics within First 12 Months:

  • Grow an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers
  • Deliver the MVP release of Visiblaze IQ and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Establish secure automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality
Required Skills and Qualifications

You must have:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development
  • At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire mentor and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering SaaS products (cybersecurity cloud or compliance preferred)
  • Strong foundation in system architecture microservices and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL Redis and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions GitLab CI Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
