Job Title: Operational Manager

Job Description:

The incumbent is responsible for managing operational activities at the Container Freight Station (CFS). Effective contract labour management and compliance are crucial, as well as driving HR activities in line with corporate directives. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating training and development initiatives, handling preventive maintenance, and procuring office equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contract labour and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Drive HR activities to meet corporate objectives
  • Coordinate training and development programs
  • Oversee preventive maintenance of assets
  • Procure office equipment and supplies
  • Canteen management to ensure high standards of food quality and hygiene
  • Regulate hired vehicle management
  • Provide regular feedback to management on CFS operations
  • Maintain CFS facilities to desired standards
  • Manage housekeeping manpower effectively
  • Administer various CFS events and initiatives
  • Raise vendors' bills and ensure timely payment
  • Liaise with civil and electrical teams for day-to-day administrative tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in drafting agreements, have knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance, and demonstrate a team player mindset.
