Job Title: Release Manager

Overview:

The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the deployment of software releases across multiple environments. This involves developing comprehensive release plans, outlining timelines, milestones and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed release plans to ensure successful execution of software deployments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Development, QA, Operations and Product Management to ensure alignment on release objectives and timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks or issues impacting release timelines or quality.
  • Ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated and approved according to established change control processes.
  • Coordinate cloud deployments to ensure compliance with security and operational policies.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  • Track release progress and provide regular updates, including performance metrics and status reports.
  • Lead issue resolution during release phases to minimize disruption.
  • Maintain the organization's release calendar, coordinating with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex environments
