Release Management and Cutover Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled release management and cutover specialist to oversee the deployment and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Release Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage release schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prepare, validate, and deploy releases.
  • Deployment Management: Oversee the deployment of SAP S/4HANA releases, ensuring changes are safely migrated into the production environment. Handle transport movements across different SAP components.
  • System Maintenance: Support and maintain the SAP system landscape, including installation, maintenance, and housekeeping of SAP Solution Manager. Monitor system performance and address issues promptly.
  • Change and Risk Management: Implement and manage release management processes for SAP configuration and code through all production and project environments. Ensure adherence to change management processes and continuous improvement practices.
  • Testing Coordination: Coordinate testing activities to validate release readiness, ensuring that all changes meet quality standards before deployment.
  • Cutover Plan: Finalize cutover plan with detailed runbook. Plan and perform mock cutovers before actual go-live.
  • Hypercare Support: Collaborate closely with Digital Technology and Business Teams on Hypercare Support Plan.
Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP technical architecture, including landscape, environment, and transport orders. Experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM), NON-SAP Release Management, Cutover tools, and STMS monitoring is desirable.
  • Experience: 2-6 years of experience in SAP release management or related roles, with a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ITIL processes. Total experience of 8-12 years in SAP is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, recommend solutions, and implement them effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, or a related field.
