Job Title: Track Alignment

Overview

As a track alignment specialist, you will play a vital role in designing and preparing preliminary designs for track alignment. You will be responsible for designing horizontal and vertical track centre line alignment, preparing points and crossings based on concept of operation, and creating standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Horizontal and Vertical Centre Line Alignment: Responsible for designing horizontal and vertical track centre line alignment, taking into account factors such as tolerance and quality standards.
  • Prepare Points and Crossings: Prepare points and crossings based on concept of operation, ensuring seamless integration with surrounding infrastructure.
  • Standard Working Procedures: Create and implement standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per SOD, ensuring consistency and efficiency in project delivery.
  • Analysis and Suggestion: Analyze each as-built component with tolerance and suggest suitable solutions to avoid infringement during mass construction, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate day-to-day activities involved in rail track design and infrastructure development projects.
  • Elevated Sections Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in elevated sections, including Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drain.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Rail Design software, specifically Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drain.
  • Design Calculation and Review: Responsible for preparation and review of design calculations for Cant, Cant Deficiency, Cant Excess, Speed, Rate of change of Cant, and Transition.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks/assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits for interface and monitoring purposes to ensure construction activity and site condition meet required standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with entire interface team, including Geotech, Structure, Signal, Architecture, Utility, Traction, Rolling Stock, and Multi Model Integration.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, out of which 5 years should be in relevant experience in track alignment of metro projects.
