  • The Senior Frontend Developer for Design Systems will play a crucial role in driving the development and maintenance of our web component library, promoting reusability and consistency across applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Web Component Library Development: Develop comprehensive web component libraries using modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, ensuring a consistent and reusable interface across applications.
  • User Interface Design: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces within the web component library, guaranteeing an exceptional user experience.
  • Automated Testing: Implement automated end-to-end testing using tools like Playwright to ensure the reliability and quality of the web components.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Configure and work with Azure Pipelines or similar CI/CD tools to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for the component library, ensuring seamless integration into our applications.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the web components to deliver a fast and responsive user experience, aligning with Danfoss' high standards.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain the quality of the web component library, share knowledge, and ensure coding best practices are followed.
  • Strategy: Drive the evolution and improvement of the design system by researching and implementing new technologies and best practices, as well as exploring and proposing optimal solutions for component and design system architecture based on long-term business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other team members to seamlessly integrate the web components into our applications, playing a key partner role to the product owner in setting design system standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain visual (Storybook) and technical documentation for the web component library, including usage guidelines and API documentation.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and help grow the front-end development team's expertise in web component development.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with front-end development, preferably with a focus on design systems.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining design systems for large-scale applications.
  • Expertise in automated testing using tools like Playwright or similar tools.
  • Experience with modern front-end libraries and frameworks, version control systems like Git, and build tools like Webpack or Vite.
  • Experience with Azure Pipelines or other CI/CD tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential for this role.

Compensation Package:

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including bonus opportunities, paid time off, flexible working hours, remote work options, pension plan, personal insurance, communication package, opportunity to join Employee Resource Groups, state-of-the-art virtual work environment, and Employee Referral Program. This is a salaried position with a guaranteed annual income.
