Job Title: Senior Assurance Associate

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting systems, employees, company values, and industry-related issues.
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to develop an in-depth understanding of the audit approach, methodology, and tools.
  • Perform thorough audit procedures and tests in accordance with the audit methodology based on the overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
  • Identify areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to resolve issues that arise.
  • Conduct research on technical accounting issues to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Build industry expertise through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Prepare high-quality audit reports and management letters.
  • Exercise professional skepticism and judgment while adhering to the code of ethics during engagements.
  • Ensure that documentation meets quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with audit professionals.
  • Provide supervision and development training for associates.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure exceptional service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.
  • Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
  • Embody a commitment to ongoing education and professional growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a semi-qualified ACCA/CPA designation.
  • Be qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA.
  • Possess 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field specifically in the NFP industry.
  • Have strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
  • Excel in data analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as the position requires frequent communications with clients and engagement teams.
