The Event Facilitator plays a vital role in managing and executing various events, shows, and functions. This position involves leading the flow of activities with enthusiasm, maintaining audience engagement, and ensuring smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Hosting:
  • Serve as the official host for university events, conferences, workshops, seminars, cultural functions, sports events, and other programs.
  • Deliver live commentary and engage with the audience to create a lively atmosphere.
  • Introduce speakers, dignitaries, and guests to ensure a smooth transition between event segments.
  • Conduct interviews, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions when required.
Audience Engagement:
  • Engage with the audience through interactive elements, ice-breakers, and informative segments.
  • Maintain an energetic, friendly, and professional demeanor to keep the audience engaged.
  • Ensure all event timings are adhered to and manage transitions between segments.
Content Preparation:
  • Work closely with the event team to understand the theme, objectives, and content of the event.
  • Prepare scripts, speeches, and presentations aligned with the event's tone and message.
  • Research relevant topics and information to provide accurate and engaging content.
Coordination with Teams:
  • Collaborate with event coordinators, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the flow of the event.
Brand Representation:
  • Represent the university in a positive, professional, and articulate manner during public interactions.
  • Communicate the university's vision, values, and messages consistently during all events.
Digital Engagement:
  • Assist in promoting events through social media platforms and university channels.
  • Record short video snippets, interviews, or highlights from the event for promotional use.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field. A Master's degree is beneficial.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an anchor, host, or presenter in a professional setting, such as television, radio, live events, or media.
  • Prior experience in hosting educational or corporate events is advantageous.
    • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi is helpful).
    • Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Confident, dynamic, and energetic personality.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected situations during live events.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
