National Key Account Manager for Business Development

Job Description:
The National Key Account Manager will be responsible for meeting assigned targets for share of business and growth in key account customers.
He/she will act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a set of national Key Accounts, interacting with customers and visiting them periodically to understand customer requirements and focus on 'significant unmet needs'. He/she will provide solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company.
The candidate will formulate customer stickiness and retention strategies, striving to cover a major portion of sales through MOUs/LTCs to improve customer service and better mill loading.
He/She will treat customer feedback/complaints with respect, urgency, and seriousness, closing the loop and keeping key stakeholders posted.
The National Key Account Manager will interact closely with BU heads and the sales team to prioritize orders of Key accounts, letting customers clearly know our priority system based on customer urgency/our commitment, financial impact, and long-term relationship impact.
He/she will work with all key stakeholders like Plant/mill heads, Marketing coordination & PPC, and logistics teams to provide timely service of customer requirements.
The candidate should have a clear understanding of the complete plant production process, capabilities, and constraints, making periodic visits to the plant to understand new developments, meet key stakeholders, and discuss ways to improve customer service/satisfaction.
Key Qualifications/Skills:
- B.E./B.Tech. Preferably in Metallurgy or Mechanical or MBA in Sales & Marketing
- Minimum 15 Years' experience in Sales & Marketing
- Preferably in steel and/or Industrial product industries
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen, innovative and big-picture vision, and the drive to make the vision a reality.
Process-driven, with strong analytical and planning skills, he/she should have passion to understand market and business needs and create innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team, and key stakeholders is essential, along with strong presentation skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into solutions for customers and the team.
