Job Description:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements, analysing processes, and documenting changes to business systems.

They will work closely with process owners, stakeholders, technical management, and end-users to ensure alignment of technology solutions with strategic business roadmaps.

Additionally, the Business Analyst will have the opportunity to specialise in testing or application development, working on a daily basis as part of a team performing analysis and documentation of changes to business systems, providing 1st and 2nd line support, and testing applications to ensure they are presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the business to ensure appropriate usage of technology solutions
  • Document business processes, use cases, requirements, and formulate and recommend strategic process re-engineering efficiencies and business performance improvements
  • Translate designs into functional and technical specifications that meet business needs
  • Continuously monitor and analyse post-stabilisation user adoption rates and changing business processes, recommending required solution modifications
  • Produce training materials and step guides for new releases and maintain existing system manuals
  • Manage and support implementation of systems
  • End-user support for various disparate systems
  • Update enhancement and defect tracking systems with latest status
Testing:
  • Create detailed test plans and system testing solutions to ensure they meet documented specifications and business requirements
  • Effectively report test progress and maintain status in test management systems
  • Create detailed User Acceptance Test plans, organise and conduct User Acceptance Testing and Training activities, ensuring successful delivery and deployment of high-quality technology solutions with high rates of user adoption
  • Setup and maintenance of testing environments, including user roles and permissions
Development (Depending on Specialty):
  • Development planning and delivery of value-added work, to scope and budget
  • Develop solutions according to specification and best practice
  • Convert functional requirements into technical specifications and design documents, providing development estimates
  • Own and manage complex technical or development issues and change requests through to resolution
  • Unit testing of developed solutions
  • Release management (testing, versioning, and creation of release notes)
  • Technical and development troubleshooting
Qualifications & Experience:

2+ years experience in a Business Analyst/process definition and re-engineering role

Solid experience working with Senior Business Executives, process sponsors, and stakeholders in a facilitation role

Demonstrable experience working with 3rd-party service providers and offshore/virtual teams

Experience working in internal or external business, management, or technology consulting

Experience working within the entertainment industry is highly desirable

Experience working with finance systems is highly desirable

Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or D365 is highly desirable
