Job Title: Business Development Manager

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the business delivery under our travel agency team and tie-ups. Your primary focus will be on growing the business with profits through effective channel management.

  • You will manage the daily activities of our producers to ensure a strong pipeline is maintained.
  • Your coaching and guidance will help our producers cross-sell and grow the business.
  • You will be responsible for making individual agents grow by at least 20% every year.
  • You will ensure that all IRDA compliance requirements regarding licensing and commission payments are met.
  • Quality of applications will be your top priority.
  • You will support and guide our producers in all policy services-related activities.
  • You will train our agents on products, processes, and USPs of our company.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  1. Achieving overall Gross Written Premium.
  2. Maintaining sustainable profitability.
  3. Ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  4. Recruitment and retention of agents.
  5. Activation of new business opportunities.

Internal Stakeholders

  • Operations (BOPs & COPs) for policy issuance.
  • Underwriter for risk factor analysis.
  • Finance Team for taxation handling.
  • Human Resources for sharing business foresights and building talent pools.
  • Training Team for employee training.
  • NSM/RSM/ASM for suggestions.

External Stakeholders

  • Agents.
  • Brokers.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in insurance.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in leading a company or business line in Retail Sales.
