BIM Project Manager Job Description:

The primary objective of a BIM Project Manager is to oversee multiple Architecture, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Firefighting) projects simultaneously, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.

  • Project Management:
    • Direct and manage multiple concurrent BIM projects, developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and workflows to optimize project delivery.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams to ensure adherence to established BIM standards and methodologies.
    • Proactively identify and address project-related challenges and issues. Conduct quality assurance/quality control checks including clash coordination.
  • Client Liaison:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients to foster strong and lasting relationships.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients, understanding their project requirements, providing updates on project progress, and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Business Development:
    • Contribute to business meetings to drive growth and expansion of BIM services.
    • Leverage industry experience to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals showcasing advanced BIM capabilities.
    • Collaborate with the business development team to secure new projects.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure financial viability.
    • Implement cost-effective strategies without compromising project quality or client satisfaction.
  • Best Practices Implementation:
    • Establish and enforce industry-leading best practices in BIM project management.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the BIM team.

You should be well-versed in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
