Senior Release Coordinator

Release managers are responsible for ensuring timely and quality deliveries to customers in fast-paced environments.
Experience of 12 to 15 years is required, with a strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Release Planning & Execution: Comprehensive release plans must be developed, maintained, and managed to outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Close collaboration is required between Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
- Risk & Issue Management: Potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality must be identified, tracked, and mitigated.
- Change Management: All changes must be well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
- Cloud Deployment Oversight: Deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS) must be coordinated, ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
- Automation & CI/CD: Continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices must be championed and driven automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Release progress must be tracked and regular updates provided, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: The resolution of issues during release phases must be led to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Release Calendar Management: The organization's release calendar must be maintained and managed, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
- Merge Management: The merging of validated changes into main code branches must be overseen, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
- Change Advisory Board (CAB): Planned changes must be presented in CAB meetings and secured approvals as required across different regions.
- Go/No-Go Readiness: Go/No-Go meetings with stakeholders must be organized and conducted to assess readiness before deployment.
- Post-Release Activities: Post-release performance must be monitored, hotfixes coordinated if needed, and Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR) facilitated.
- Documentation & Compliance: All release-related documentation must be complete, up-to-date, and meet compliance/audit standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
