Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA Release Management Specialist to oversee the deployment and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA systems, ensuring seamless integration of new releases and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage release schedules, aligning with project timelines and business objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prepare, validate, and deploy releases.
  • Deployment Management: Oversee the deployment of SAP S/4HANA releases, ensuring changes are safely migrated into the production environment. Handle transport movements across different SAP components.
  • System Maintenance: Support and maintain the SAP system landscape, including installation, maintenance, and housekeeping of SAP Solution Manager. Monitor system performance and address issues promptly.
  • Change and Risk Management: Implement and manage release management processes for SAP configuration and code through all production and project environments. Ensure adherence to change management processes and continuous improvement practices.
  • Testing Coordination: Coordinate testing activities to validate release readiness, ensuring that all changes meet quality standards before deployment.
  • Cutover Planning: Finalize a detailed cutover plan, including a runbook. Plan and perform mock cutovers before actual go-live.
  • Hypercare Support: Work in close collaboration with Digital Technology and Business Teams to provide hypercare support.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP technical architecture, including landscape, environment, and transport orders. Experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM), Non-SAP Release Management, Cutover tools, and STMS monitoring is desirable.
  • Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience in SAP release management or related roles, with a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ITIL processes. A total experience of 8 to 12 years in SAP is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, recommend solutions, and implement them effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, or a related field.

This role is critical in ensuring the stability and efficiency of SAP S/4HANA systems within an organization, requiring a blend of technical expertise and project management skills.
