System Administration Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux system administrator to play a crucial role in our team.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in managing complex Linux systems, possess strong knowledge of shell scripting and various tools and utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the stability of our products using internal monitoring tools.
  • Provide level 1 and level 2 support for hosting products including cpanel, plesk, vps, cloud, and dedicated servers.
  • Handle incident response, troubleshooting, and fixes for various products and services.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues as per policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve production site issues effectively.
  • Communicate clearly on tickets and calls regarding various issues.
  • Display a sense of urgency in resolving issues.
  • Develop advanced automation workflows to automate repeated tasks.
Required Skills
  • Graduate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Good understanding of Linux systems, shell scripting, and various tools and utilities.
  • Experience with Windows 2000/2003/2008, NTFS, chkdisk, ACLs, Event logs, WSUS, Terminal Services, IIS Fundamentals.
  • Fundamentals of DNS, Networking, TCP/UDP, IP Routing, HA, Load Balancing Concepts.
  • Application protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including night shifts and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Cloud.
  • Systems/Hardware: RAID, LOM/IPMI/IP KVMs, Dell Hardware.
  • Windows: WMI, Powershell/VB scripts, MS-SQL Fundamentals.
  • Applications: Postfix/qmail/Exim, Database Systems Fundamentals (MySQL/Postgres), Nginx/Apache (mod_php, mod_fcgid, CGI, php-fpm etc), Tomcat.
  • Tools/Utilities: Nagios, DHCP, Kickstart/Cobbler, Yum, RPM, GIT/SVN.
  • Certification: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), GCP.
