Key System Security Role

We are seeking a skilled security engineer to support our Database Security initiatives. This role requires a mid-level professional with 3-5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with database security solutions, a strong background in system administration, network administration, and firewall management. Additionally, they should possess scripting experience and excellent communication and customer interaction skills.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure database security solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, analyze data, and deploy tailored solutions.
  • Perform system changes and updates during off-hours to minimize load on the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using programming languages.
  • Update documentation and tooling to improve incident response and operational readiness.
  • Support post-incident reviews and ensure learnings are documented and actioned.
Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with database security solutions.
  • Strong background in system administration, network administration, and firewall management.
  • Scripting experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
