Hiring for a CMDB and Hardware Asset Management Expert

  • About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced CMDB and HAM specialist to drive operational excellence in IT asset and configuration management.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow HAM and CMDB modules, with a proven ability to manage end-to-end delivery of engagements and ensure alignment with SLAs, KPIs, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Ongoing responsibilities include configuring robust Identification and Reconciliation rules, monitoring CMDB health, resolving data conflicts between authoritative sources, defining and maintaining standard Configuration Items (CIs), and creating and enhancing application maps using ServiceNow Service Mapping.
  • The successful candidate will also design and manage reports and dashboards to support decision-making and transparency, identify opportunities for continuous service improvement, and define, improve, and manage periodic audit and verification processes for asset data.
  • A key aspect of this role is stakeholder engagement and communication, ensuring regular cadence meetings to communicate status, issues, and opportunities.
  • This position requires at least 3 years of experience in this field, along with strong documentation and process design skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and deep understanding of CMDB architecture, CI types, and dependency mapping.
