Supply Chain Finance Leader

We seek a seasoned professional to lead our supply chain finance operations. As a pivotal link within our international network, you will drive financial strategies, optimize costs, and support scalable logistics across Africa.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in working capital optimization, FX risk management, and trade finance mechanisms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing finance for complex global supply chains, covering import operations, freight, warehousing, and last-mile distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Monitor and control all supply chain costs; enhance processes for inventory, foreign exchange, freight, handling, and warehousing.
  • Partner with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to analyze costs, identify savings, and optimize working capital.
  • Structure working capital and trade finance solutions, managing Letter of Credit facilities, FX exposures, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Deliver financial due diligence for logistics partners; evaluate total landed costs and inform decision-making.
  • Build dashboards and KPIs to track cost performance, supply chain metrics, and financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with global tax regulations, transfer pricing rules, and audit requirements in a multinational context.
  • Identify process efficiency through automation and implement best-practice financial controls and SOPs.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-12 years of experience in supply chain finance, preferably within international logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing finance for complex global supply chains, covering import operations, freight, warehousing, and last-mile distribution.
  • Strong cost-control mindset with expertise in working capital optimization, FX risk management, and trade finance mechanisms.
  • Excellent analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP/BI tools (SAP, Oracle, Power BI, etc.).
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities for working across geographies.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to streamline financial processes, automate workflows, and deliver insights.
  • Professional written and verbal communication in English; experience in cross-border virtual team collaboration is advantageous.
