Senior Linux Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux System Administrator with expertise in Red Hat OpenShift to fill a key position within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Linux administration, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and exhibit excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cluster Management: Install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Perform regular upgrades and patching of OCP environments maintaining system stability and security.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of OCP clusters minimizing downtime and data loss.
  • Complete end-to-end project management including installation, re-installation, configuration, re-configuration, implementation, integration, monitoring, patch management, VA/PT closure, and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • L3 Support for incidents and problems related to OpenShift requiring analytical and technical expertise.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve platform-related issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve platform-related issues promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of OCP clusters leveraging expertise in resource allocation and management.
  • Implement best practices for cluster management and maintenance ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Conduct capacity planning and scaling of OCP environments to meet business requirements.
  • Implement security policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Manage access controls and authentication mechanisms securing sensitive information and resources.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and deployments streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations with a proven track record of success.
  • 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes with expertise in cluster management and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with hands-on experience.
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification demonstrating expertise and commitment.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with ability to work effectively in multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
